Can I Make My Body Look More Feminine?

I see hundreds of patients a year for Brazilian butt lift revisions. Patients are unsatisfied with the results that other surgeons have provided. One of the telltale signs of a poorly executed Brazilian buttock augmentation is a lack of understanding about where the fat can be injected. If you look at this patient in the side view, she actually has decent projection, but you see, anybody can give you projection, because in the side view, the main goal is to increase the size of the buttock. Now, let's look at the back view of this patient. As you can see, she has the typical wide appearance of poorly performed buttock augmentation. She has way too much fat on the superior aspect of the buttock on the side, which gives her an appearance of high hips and a high buttock. She does not have the A shape that should be the goal in recreating the buttock from the back view; she has more of a round profile.

My surgical plan with this patient was to perform liposuction on the abdomen, flanks, and sides of the upper and lower back. In addition, I had to recreate the gluteal triangle by performing liposuction on the lower back and on the sides and top of the buttock to decrease the width of the buttock in the superior area, and then inject fat in the midline inferior aspect to reshape the back profile. In addition, fat needed to be injected in the central aspect of the buttock to decrease the width of the buttock and improve the projection. I also performed fat transfer to the hips and changed the perception of having high hips through liposuction of the hip superiorly and transferring fat to a more anatomically correct place.

These are postoperative pictures of the patient, and you can compare the left side before picture in the front view with the after picture on the right side. In addition you can see the back view, where she has more of an hourglass shape and a smaller waist.
